EQMM is America's oldest and most esteemed mystery literary magazine. While Doug has only been publishing short stories with the magazine for a few years, it's a complete thrill since he's been an avid reader of EQMM since childhood. Bonus: the first short story Doug published in EQMM was selected for inclusion in the 2020 Best American Mystery Stories.

Glimmer Train published from 1990 to 2019, edited by two sisters who contributed much to the American literary landscape. The magazine was represented in editions of the Pushcart Prize: Best of the Small Presses, New Stories from the Midwest, the O. Henry Prize Stories, New Stories from the South, Best of the West, New Stories from the Southwest, Best American Short Stories, and The Best American Nonrequired Reading. Doug was fortunate to publish six short stories in the GT pages.
